Extra Credit Terms of Service

These terms cover the Extra Credit: Math Games app and the Extra Credit website at extracreditmath.org, both published by Choordinator LLC. By using either one you agree to them. Questions: support@choordinator.com.

1. The games

The games are free, with no ads and no in-game purchases. They work without an account and without the internet. We may add, change or retire games and features.

2. The website and the family membership

The website shows parents and teachers which facts a student knows and lets them choose what the student practices. It is free for teachers once verified with a school email, or by us on request.

For parents, the family membership is a one-time payment of $9.99. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. One payment covers every child in your family. It unlocks the website's insights: history, reports and the weekly email. Without it, the games keep working and the website keeps the fact map.

The first 30 days are free, starting with your child's first answer. No card is needed for the trial. Payment is taken by Stripe when you press the buy button on your Account page.

3. Refunds

You can have a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Write to support@choordinator.com from the email address on your account. After 14 days there is no refund, except where the law requires one. The refund policy says the same thing on its own page.

4. Accounts

Accounts are for adults: parents, guardians and teachers. A student never makes an account. A student plays without one, and the game never asks a student for a name, email or age. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in (Google, Apple or an emailed link) secure, and for what happens under your account.

Add a child only if you are the child's parent or guardian. Make a class only if you teach it, or act for your school.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not try to reach another family's or class's information, or guess save codes, class codes or family codes.
• Do not probe, overload or try to break the website or the game, or collect its pages in bulk.
• Do not use the website to harass anyone or to break the law.
• Do not resell the website or build another service on top of it without a written agreement.

6. Your data

The privacy policy governs the information we collect and what we do with it. If these terms and the privacy policy disagree about data, the privacy policy wins.

7. Ending your use

You can delete your account on your Account page at any time, and delete a student's record on the student's page. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm the service or other people. Unless that would cause harm, we write first.

8. Disclaimer

The game and the website are provided as they are. We do not promise that they will always be available or free of errors. The website describes how a student is doing from the answers the game sends. It is a guide for a parent or teacher, and not a test, a grade or a diagnosis.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Choordinator LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages from your use of the game or the website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

A changed version is posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we also email signed-in users. Using the game or the website after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. For any dispute that cannot be settled informally, the exclusive venue is the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
