Common questions.
Does my child need an account?
No. The games never ask for your child's name, an email or a photo. The app has one save code, and you use it to link the app to your own sign-in.
Does it need the internet?
Not to play. Your child's progress is saved on the device and backed up the next time it is online. Linking the app to this website needs a connection.
What ages is it for?
Kindergarten to 5th grade, about ages 5 to 11. Questions start at your child's grade and move to the level that fits.
Do you sell my child's data?
No. There are no ads or trackers, and you can delete your child's record at any time. The privacy page lists what we keep and for how long.
Which math standards does it follow?
The Common Core State Standards for math. If your state has its own standards, compare them against the list on the standards page.
Phone or tablet?
Either. The games run on Android, iPhone and iPad. The website runs in any web browser.
Can two children share one tablet?
At home, each phone or tablet keeps one save. In a classroom, set tablets up with the class code and any student can sign in with their name and secret pictures.
What if the phone is lost or broken?
The save is backed up. Install the app on the new device and enter the save code to restore your child's progress.
What does the website cost?
The games are free, with no ads and no in-game purchases. $9.99 lifetime membership unlocks analytics and insights for parents. Free for teachers. Verify with a school email, or ask us.
Do I need the website to play?
No. The games work on their own. The website shows which facts your child knows and lets you choose what they practice.
Questions teachers ask.
What are the three codes?
The class code sets up your classroom tablets. You type it once per tablet, from the Tablets page. The family code lets a parent join their child to your class from home, using the app's Join a class from home button. Save codes are per student, on the send-home sheet.
How do students sign in on a tablet?
A student taps their name on the list, then their two secret pictures from their printed card. There are no accounts and no passwords. Any student can use any tablet, and their progress follows them.
Can a student play at home too?
Yes. A parent joins their child to your class with the family code. Answers from home count on your class page, next to the ones from school.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Free for teachers. Verify with a school email, or ask us.
What do I see, and what does a parent see?
You see a student's progress while the student is in your active class. A parent sees their own child. You never see a parent's data, and a parent never sees other students in your class.
What can I print?
Picture cards, one for each student, from your class page. A send-home sheet with each student's save code. Worksheets from any skill page. A practice sheet from a student's page.
What do I send school IT?
Send them /teachers/it. It lists what the app needs, what it collects, and the COPPA summary.
What happens at the end of the year?
Archive the class from its page. Tablets can no longer be set up for it, and each student's game and save stay as they are.
